Introverted Violence

Introverted Violence is a combo from South of France which started out in 2005 after Zib (bass) and Chris (guitar, vocals) met. They recorded their first demo with an analog 4-track, performed their first gigs in 2006, and then recorded their second demo « Horror Garage » at the Subsonic. At that time, as a couple working with a drum machine, Introverted Violence was then compared to post-punk or batcave bands such as Alien Sex Fiend because of their line-up and because of the style and sound offered by the drum machine. At a gig during 2006 spring, they meet Elo, then drummer of Sonic Angels. The transformation is soon effective and the duo becomes a much more rock n'roll trio. Then, the limitations due to the use of a drum machine disappear and the combo becomes free to express their fundamentally punk energy. They perform more gigs and recordings, and finally release their third demo in 2007. The group begins to make themselves known in the South of France and shares the stage with bands such as Christian Death (deathrock), Total Chaos (punk), The Vibrators, Soror Dolorosa (cold wave), Lycosia (gothic rock), Prime Sinister (industrial metal), Hellhounds (death metal), Sonny Vincent (punk rock legend). Introverted Violence's sound oscillates between savage punk rock and big slow rock, loud and black. Their influences are bands such as Black Flag, Motörhead, the Stooges, Joy Division, The Birthday Party, The Cramps, Dead Boys, or combos such as Melvins, The Bronx, Killing Joke or Ministry. Their first EP went out in 2009 on label Overstage Imperator Productions (Mütiilation, Zoldier Noiz, Stonybroke, Doctor Livingstone) The band is actually searching for a new label and continues gigs through France while working on their next album.
