From http://www.jtoddcello.com: The artists: James Todd This album marks Jim's foray into composing, arranging and performing his own music. He is in demand as a studio musician, and has performed on numerous artists' albums and recording projects that include many genres and styles of music. In the classical arena, Jim serves as principal cellist with the Arapahoe Philharmonic, the Denver Symphony, the MSC Symphony Orchestra, and the Aurora Symphony. As a professional free-lance musician, he has performed in concert with many touring shows including such notable artists as: Stevie Wonder, Crosby/Nash, Yanni, John Tesh, Led Zeppelin, Yes, Brian Wilson, Lyle Lovett, Marvin Hamlisch, Wynton Marsalis, Kenny Rogers, Linda Ronstadt, Ray Charles, Natalie Cole, Mannheim Steamroller, Sarah Brightman, Smokey Robinson, K.D. Lang, and Jose Feliciano. Additionally, Jim maintains a very active schedule as a teacher. His teaching commitments have included serving on the faculties of Metropolitan State College of Denver and University of Colorado at Denver as Professor of Cello. In addition, he maintains a private teaching studio, teaching students of all ages. He has served as guest clinician/instructor at numerous music education conferences held throughout the United States. William Morse Maestro William Morse has been Music Director and Principal Conductor of the Jefferson Symphony Orchestra in Golden, Colorado since 1999. He is also the Music Director and Principal Conductor of the Evergreen Chamber Orchestra in Evergreen, Colorado since its inception in 1983. Both orchestra continue to develop and flourish under his leadership. Additionally, Bill is active as a guest conductor, performer, adjudicator and clinician, and has performed with and conducted for notable figures such as Wynton Marsalis, Billy Taylor, and Doc Severenson. As an active freelance pianist, Bill performs with the Queen City Jazz Band and with his own jazz trio. Dr. Morse is Professor Emeritus at Metropolitan State College of Denver where he conducted the Symphony Orchestra and taught Advanced Conducting for many years. He holds Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in music from Oberlin Conservatory of Music, and a Doctorate of Orchestral Conducting from the University of Arizona.
