Named as ‘Breakthrough DJ & Producer of the year’ by Ferry Corsten and Sied van Riel in their DJMag Top 100 interviews, responsible for some of the biggest trance anthems of 2009 with ‘Eivissa Eivissa’ and ‘Out Of The Box’ and this is just The Beginning… 2009 proved to be the year of Jan Oostdyk’s big break! Jan Oostdyk proves to be a natural when it comes to music. His father bought him a piano when he was just six years old and one year later he was already able to play the most difficult pieces from the biggest composers. 12,5 years filled with piano experience later he heard System F’s Out Of The Blue and immediately fell in love with it, he instantly knew that this what was he wanted! He got himself a computer with the infamous Fast Tracker software together with a Roland Juno 106 synth and started playing around. Around this time he also started to develop himself as a true computer specialist. It showed that his knowledge for music production was congenital and soon he earned his money as a specialist in sound studios and music computer systems. Nowadays Jan has build several music studios for big producers and has a tremendous knowledge for every button, slider, computer, instrument, sequencer and plug-in, but most of all… he’s a real perfectionist! Besides building studios, this multi talented chameleon created some of the biggest club hits you can imagine. For several years he produced under different guises, ranging from old school house music to his biggest love trance music. Amongst the immense string of hits are “4 Strings vs. Shaine – The Way It Should Be”, “Georgia vs. Stimulator – We Rise”, “Georgia – Ode To ‘99” and off course his own hits “Out Of The Box”, “The Beginning” and “Eivissa Eivissa”, which all had massive support of the biggest dj’s that walk the planet: Tiësto, Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Paul van Dyk, John O’Callaghan, Sied van Riel, Sean Tyas, Gareth Emery and many more. In 2006, the owners of the former Club Zillion asked him to produce a theme track for their upcoming beach parties. “Interfeeling” was launched that same year and instantly became a huge dance floor hit. Next to his talent as a dj and producer, Jan Oostdyk also hosts an outstanding monthly podcast. The combination of his musical selection (ranging from minimal to epic trance) and his spot on presentation gives listeners the maximal sensation that a podcast has to contain. The podcast can be downloaded from his website but is also aired by more than 15 radio stations worldwide. 2009 has been a great year for Jan Oostdyk with support from Ferry Corsten, Tiësto, Armin van Buuren, Gareth Emery, Paul van Dyk, Sied van Riel, Leon Bolier, John O’Callaghan, Sean Tyas and many more, hits as “Eivissa Eivissa”, “Out Of The Box” and his remix for “Misja Helsloot vs. Signum – RTFM” and on top of it all the coronation as Breakthrough DJ & Producer of the year by Ferry Corsten and Sied van Riel in their DJMag Top 100 interviews! It all proves that Jan Oostdyk is well on his way of becoming the next big thing in international dance music… Read more on Last.fm.
