Joel Abbott

Joel Abbott is a multi-instrumentalist composer/producer living in Burlington, Vermont. Although his formative training was as a classical flautist, jazz and musical composition were always his primary focus. Performing as musical improviser for eight years at Dad's Garage Theatre Company in Atlanta, Georgia, he gained proficiency in electronic music technology, theatrical underscoring, and making music funny. Since moving to Burlington, Vermont in 2008, Abbott has been producing albums. His most recent release, "Christmas and Glowsticks" (Nov. 2009) is a collection of traditional Christmas hymns arranged for synthesizers, and in a variety of styles, including electronica, techno, trance, downtempo, and lounge. Joel Abbott's first album "Babies Don't Have Hands" (April 2008) with his band The Go Ahead And is a collection of funny, ridiculous, and ironic songs. Read more on Last.fm.
