Emerging from the night life of the birth place of the bandmembers, stories have been spread of a legendary pimp. Johannes "Johnny" Renner was born in the late 19th century in the region of Berlin. Fleeing the economic crisis of the 1920s, he rambled through Europe for many years, eventually making a name for himself in Belgium in the late 1930s. He was one of the first to open a bordello on the Chaussée d'Amour (The Highway of Love) between Liege and Saint-Trond. He built a personal empire opening houses in Brussels (1947), Antwerp (1949) and Amsterdam (1955). He died a rich man in 1965, leaving two wives and four children. The band, 5 youngsters with lotta fire and attitude, totally influenced by the new wave 80's but doing something completely new, we might call guitar wave pop. Sounds like: Gang of Four, Tubeway Army, Visage, Duran Duran, Human League, Joy Division, New Order, Spandau Ballet,... Band Members: Paul Renner - Vocals & Guitars Laurens Renner - Keys & Guitars Tom S. Downing - Guitars Jan Haspeslagh - Drums Jean Letour - Bass More Info: Website Facebook Myspace Read more on Last.fm.
