Hailing from Wollongong comes a fresh sound and approach to Songwriting….. Jolan This independant alternative/rock 5-piece has recently released their Ep “Lost in song” to rave reviews and record sales exceeding 1000. 3 weeks into the release they were selected as “Australian Myspace Artist of the Week” which had them featured on the main myspace home page, and also the Australian section of myspace. It resulted in over 4000 hits in 3 days, and a total of 50,000 to date. They’re selling to all parts of Australia on Itunes, and internationally as well. Taking influence from the likes of Sigur Ros, Radiohead, Coldplay and Snow Patrol, Jolan evoke emotion in listeners with their ambient sound scape and sometimes haunting imagery. Working with Producer Chris Townend (The Presets, Lior) and recording at BJB studios Sydney & Mainstreet Studios, Jolans Ep showcases a band being themselves, nothing more, and nothing less....
