Formed back in early 1999 by five friends in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, Kehlvin delivers a slow, progressive and metallic hardcore mostly influenced by Will Haven, Cult of Luna, Isis, Explosions in the Sky, Mono and Pelican. First known under the name “Loaf A”, the band has now changed its name to Kehlvin for different personal reasons. After one 4-track demo in 2000 and another one in 2002, the time came to work seriously on a full-length album. The band decided then to work again with Julien Fehlmann, who had already been the producer of the second demo. The album was recorded during summer 2005 at Studio Mécanique in la Chaux-de-Fonds. After the mixing part, the album was sent to Sweden to be mastered by Pelle Henricsson. Now signed on Division Records, Kehlvin is looking forward to hit the stage again in order to promote its musical vision further and further. Read more on Last.fm.
