Two lumberjacks from the woods of Rekçitsbonk make music for you to dance to. Disco and electrotunes with Abmip on drums and Cellid on keyboards. And regularly you’ll find some guestvocalists and musicians. Unclear situations guaranteed, but your ears will surely like it. History On one of their travels through the Eastern Bloc, the Dutch friends and musiclovers Falco Torenstra and Wim van Dam encountered two strange lumberjacks working in the woods. Deeply impressed by the fresh music those boys were making, they decided to bring them to Holland, to give them the musical oppurtunities they deserved. The lumberjacks moved into Utrecht and with the help of Wim and Falco they contacted several known artists. There seemed to be interest in coöperating with the boys and very soon the Amsterdam label Dox Records joined in. Releasing an album now became a true possibility! Forest Fruit In 2008 and 2009, Abmip and Cellid have been working at several locations (mostly Rekçitsbonk) writing, recording and producing their debutalbum ‘Forest Fruit’. Surrounded by trees, animals, drumkits and a lot of synthesizers, they tried to translate the atmosphere of their hometown to music. Rik Kraak and Lourens van Haaften (Dutch musicians) were invited to play some bass and guitarparts. The vocal additions to some tracks were done by Charlene, Steye, Benny Sings, Dean Tippet and Master Surreal. A result to be heard and seen: 12 fresh ‘n fruity tracks, for in your livingroom or on the dancefloor, always tasty. Live Knobsticker will start touring live with this album from january 2010. Since they’re very homesick, they will always try to bring some elements from their natural habitat, supported by their designers Me & Julia. So your eyes will surely like it to. Forest Fruit is being released on Dox Records (www.doxrecords.com) and is available in stores from the 9th of October. Read more on Last.fm.
