Krapulax is Loukouman Amidou. Amidou is a Parisian DJ and producer. He was born in Africa and grew up in France, in an environment where music has always kept a special place. After his first steps with a guitar and a keyboard his story begins in the early Nineties when Krapulax discovers the alternative computer creation scene. At that time he starts various musical and graphical experimentations on machines such as Atari ST. Later on, under the influence of jazz, rock and funk, he comes back to a more "traditional" music. He starts playing bass and, soon, he tours with several Parisian funk/rock bands. After many years on stage (and more than a hundred concerts with the Keebab band) and in studios, he is given the opportunity to put his technical skills on the test and work among computer music professionals, in particular as a member of the editorial staff of the Computer Music magazine. The first House records signed by Krapulax are released in the end of the Nineties on different labels (Pamplemousse, Bondelice, Vegas, Chocoflash, Brique Rouge ...). His productions have a common slogan : eclecticism. Actually, as he does not want to stick to one precise style he rather tries to explore a great number of House currents in his EPs (Dancefloor, Deep, Breakbeat, Garage). But always with a common sound which define his own style. His mixes have the same eclecticism as his productions, and the irrepressible desire for throwing a bridge between the traditions (African, among others) and the freaky sound. Read more on Last.fm.
