Kriminella Gitarrer was formed in the beginning of 1977 in Klippan, a small town in the south of Sweden, by Stry (vocals), Sticky Bomb (drums), Affe (bass) and Mats P (guitarr). Kriminella Gitarrer belonged to the first generation of Swedish punk bands. They released two 7"s in '78 after which Stry left for Malmö, while the rest band released a final single and toured for a while. They were not the most influential but they managed to produce a great number of rough and imaginative punk songs before they split up in 1979. Stry Terrarie went on to form Stry & Stripparna, Besökarna, Garbochock and then joining Ebba Grön and later Rymdimperiet/Imperiet, becoming one of Sweden's most well-known punk musicians. Mats Persson would later play in Dolkenihåsan and Lasakungen. Sticky Bomb would play in Torsson and Wilmer X. The are notable for having released the first punk single in Sweden, 1978's 7" Vårdad klädsel. Read more on Last.fm.
