كلنا سوا (Kulna Sawa), is a Syria-based band playing modern arrangements of traditional music. Formed in Damascus, Syria in 1995, the band (whose name means "all of us together") started by arranging several traditional songs. They embarked on a series of concerts and television appearances, culminating in several concerts in October 1999 in Damascus and Aleppo. The concerts were so successful that they lasted three nights and were attended by over than 5,000 people. The band also performed a series of concerts for three nights with British group Sin E in September 2000. The two bands performed individually and together on stage as part of the British Council's activities. In November of that year, the band organised charity performances over four nights, attended by over 7,000 people. Kulna Sawa signed a worldwide recording contract with EMI Music and released two international albums, starting in June 2001, including the crossover singles "Nezlen Ala El Bustan" and "Wain A Ramallah", as well as "Almaya", "Koul Shi Esmoh Jadid", and "Noujmah Kutbiah". The band toured abroad and gave successful concerts in places such as Dubai, Jordan, Lebanon, and Morocco. For the launch of their second album Musaique they gave three big concerts with a special appearance of Mohamed Mounir. The members of the band are: * Bashar Moussa (lead vocals) * Iyad Rimawi (guitar, backing vocals) * Ayham Al Ani * Marwan Nakhleh, Hazem Al Ani (keyboard, piano) * Rafel Al Haffar (bass) * Simon Mreach (Drums , Percussion) * Khaldoun Kawa (drums) * Kinan Azmeh (saxophone, clarinet) * Nizar Omran (trumpet, oud) Read more on Last.fm.
