The Lady Bunny is the US's most famous drag queen nation wide after her best friend, Ru Paul, of course. Originating her drag in Atlanta (the "Lady" moniker is actually a hilarious nod to serious female impersonators) she moved to NYC with Ru as her room mate. There she frequented bars like the Pyramid Club. Starting Wigstock almost by accident she ran it for years until it grew too big for her to want to take on (nor did she want to give it away and see it commercialized). Sometime in the 90's she released her first single Shame, Shame, Shame and stepped away from releasing music when it did not chart. Known for her raunchy parodies and slapstick comedy, she consistently tours the country and dj's surprisingly large (and surprisingly corporate!) gigs. Recently Ru Paul has dragged her into the booth again for two collaborations on her most recent album, Glamazon, and for a new single to appear on the new album, Lick It (Lollipop). In 2013, Lady Bunny returned to releasing her own recorded work with Take Me Up (High). Read more on Last.fm.
