There are two Lee Pattersons this tag may refer to. The first is a purveyor of original Acoustic Stomp Blues, uniquely reworked. Born and living in Edinburgh, Lee creates unique music, expressed in his raw and powerful 'Stompblues' style. Patterson has been compared to a cross between a young Weller and Screaming Jay Hawkins, others hear a more acidic and urban Billy Brag. Lee has won several music competitions and festivals including the Edinburgh Festival Singer/Stongwriter award. The Acoustic Underground 2003 Award. The Edinburgh Folk Club Songwriting Awards 2003 and 2004. Lee was also nominated in the UK Gospel awards 2004. Late in 2005 he won the Best Performer award at the European Final of the Emergenza Acoustic Showcase. His powerful voice and stage performances have taken him to venues throughout the UK and in 2005 he made his first musical foray into the USA. He has supported major bands including The Casbah Club and Dead Men Walking and has shared the stage with James Yorkston, Sid Griffiths and a host of other contemporary 'Roots' artists. He is also regularly playlisted on national Radio and his first CD, 'Razum Frazum' was a Top Five choice for the BBC's Celtic Connections, for whom he did a session in summer 2005. Lee has three commercially available CD's, Razum Frazum, Sufferin' Succotash, and The Grinder's Monkey. These are under Lee's own LPMusic label and are available both conventionally and as Digital product on iTunes and other main brand online stores. His new album Stella Maris, is due for release in 2009. The second is a Manchester-based sound artist and improvising musician. His first solo album, Seven Vignettes was released in 2009 on Shadazz Records. Read more on Last.fm.
