Lefteris Kalabakas aka Liberto completed his studies in classic guitar at a young age and started collecting rock & metal records and playing with various groups. As he grew up he started approaching different music styles such as jazz rock and fusion. His first personal sounds were created by combining the above with the contemporary rock and metal of the time. Later on, at around 17, amalgams of electronic and natural sounds started to lure him towards electronic music and he started experimenting with computers and sequencers, collecting albums and DJing. His influences range from Eloy, Graig Armstrong, Kevin Yost, James Holden, Hiroshi Watanabe, The Timewriter, Murcof, F.S.O.L, Biosphere, Mathew Johnson, John Tejada, Swayzak. On September 18, Klik Records welcomes a new artist in its roster and presents Liberto with his debut album "Lullaby", one of the four artist projects that will be released until the end of 2006. "Lullaby" has a deep and tech house sound. It's sometimes deep and emotional, sometimes intense and dance-y. Minimal philosophy, dubby long players in a cinematic background with some noisy elements... With his debut, Liberto manages to create his personal sound. His particularity in combining deep and tech house music makes his sound unique within the competitive field of European releases. Read more on Last.fm.
