Lisa Reagan is a veteran performer, a diversely talented singer and composer, and a recording artist. She is the founder and president of Satori Productions, Inc., an independent music production company based in Middleburg, Virginia. For Lisa, a lifelong love of musical expression was born with her first piano lessons at the age of 4--and has evolved many times since. Lisa's debut CD "Satori" signals yet another evolution. "Satori"--the Zen Buddhist's way of describing "a sudden awakening and profound understanding''-- takes you on a journey into the artist's mind and heart. With an angelic voice that combines the sensitivity of Loreena McKennitt, and the sensual timelessness of Lisa Gerrard, Lisa weaves her poetic lyrics and mystical chants with driving rhythms and haunting melodies. Her music is a portal to another world of limitless spirituality and artistic possibilities, spanning both culture and time. Recently, Lisa has teamed up with producer Paul Buono to work on her new CD, Arcana. According to Lisa this CD crosses operatic melody lines with hynotic drums and cinematic strings. The CD will focus on female archetypes, such as Joan of Arc and the mythical Dianna the Huntress. It will be released on her independent label Stillpoint Records in January 2007. Lisa has also composed and arranged for films and soundtracks. Her song "A l'infini" was featured on Bravo TV's-Project Runway's first season. Her most recent work was the soundtrack for the DVD YogaSing, Yoga for Singers and Performers, created by Suzanne Jackson and Alvaro Domingo. Lisa has performed at the Kennedy Center, the White House, and countless concert halls across the U.S. and abroad. For the past fifteen years Lisa has sung at many events around Washington DC and has been a resident member of the Washington National Opera. Read more on Last.fm.
