Dream your life and live your dream - even if it is the last thing you will do. Sometimes loud, sometimes soft, sometimes angry, sometimes melancholic, do what you want, but always be yourself. Be „livid“, be „halcyon“ or even better: „Livid Halcyon“. This motto is reflected in the music of the Aalen-based band around singer Melanie. Heavy guitar riffs go along with passionate lyrics and create the typical style of the band that is set somewhere between rock and alternative. Since the founding in 2000 the band gains popularity, especially in southern Germany. After they won the Award for Best Newcomer in 2001 for best vocals in Giengen, in 2003 they came out as no.1 at the „battle of the bands“ in Landau. In November 2005 the band reached the semi-finals for the German Rock and Pop-Award in Hamburg. They also won the third prize in the final of the Play Live Contest 2007. With their energetic stage presence Livid Halcyon could claim their place in rock as support act for bands like "Within Temptation", "Juli", “Such a Surge” or “Die Happy”. After the very successful release of the first album “halcyon days” in 2002, the second album “real supremacy” came out in December of 2004. In February 2007 livid halcyon released their EP "ae". The new album "winterlove" is available since July 18, 2009. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
