Lucy & The Cloud Parade’s self-titled debut album is a collection of songs ranging from 60’s psychedelic pop to spaghetti western. Lead singer Ane Trolle, based in Copenhagen, Denmark delivers soaring vocals accompanied by the bands charismatic group vocals. The collection of vocal harmonies sound like a traveling hippy band from a time when music was fun and free. Growing up in the rural town of Sorø, Denmark, a lot of time was spent enjoying the natural surroundings, riding horses, and playing music. Lucy & The Cloud Parade’s debut album conjures up this simple way of life with songs like “Whistle Clap Hey!” and “Feel Lucky” showcasing the bands group vocals to other songs like “The Truth” which sounds like it was recorded for a spaghetti western, with whistles and honky tonk pianos. The song “Feel Lucky” has been in a Telus commercial in Canada, “Smile Inside” in a Cesar Cuisine commercial in the U.S. and “Love Yourself” in the TV show Ugly Betty. Read more on Last.fm.
