Luther Russell is a songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist who was born and currently resides in Los Angeles, CA. His career began professionally with the roots-rock combo The Freewheelers more than twenty years ago. As a recording artist he has released an eclectic series of albums that range from folk-rock to power-pop and even funk. The latest, The Invisible Audience, is a kaleidoscopic double album which runs the gamut musically and his upcoming instrumental LP, How I Won The West, explores the melding of country blues and raga styles. As producer he has worked with Richmond Fontaine, Fernando, Sarabeth Tucek, Noah & The Whale, Laura Marling and Folks, to name just a few.
