Lynn Chircop is a singer and musician. She has performed solo and with a band in the past. She is also a songwriter and plays the piano. She won the Song For Europe festival in 2003 and will be representing Malta in the Eurovision Song Contest 2003 at Riga, Latvia. She was dumbstruck when she won the festival beating popular favourite Lawrence Gray. She was not very known at the time, though she had appeared on various national tv programmes in Malta. Gifted in languages - she is fluent in English, Maltese, German and Italian, plus she is conversant in French and Spanish and has a good understanding of Arabic. She believes in God, her Creator. She believes that God has given her a message to be of benefit to the community by propagating a message of peace to all. This spring she graced the cover of Femme Magazine (FM). Her mother is Carmen Chircop and her brother is called Alan. Her father's name is Philip. Both Alan and Lynn took piano lessons when young. Lynn, being very creative, preferred to play the piano rather than study theory. She is a very determined person according to her mother in an interview. She forms part of a band called Blend 7, formed in 2002. She plays the piano at hotels and night-spots. She is writing songs which she says are a mix between Tori Amos and Alicia Keyes but with her style. Her tastes range from jazz to rock to classical, so her winning song To Dream Again is not precisely her style. Read more on Last.fm.
