"The hottest thing that came out from Brazil" - Q Magazine Mickey Gang foi uma banda de indie rock brasileira. Formada em 2007 em Colatina, Espírito Santo, composta pelo vocalista e tecladista Arthur Marques, o baixista Bruno Magalhães, o guitarrista Ricardo Vieira, e o baterista João Paulo Balla, todos da mesma cidade. A banda destacava-se de outras pelas músicas originais serem em inglês, o que lhes rendeu limitado sucesso na Europa, apesar de serem relativamente desconhecidos no Brasil à época. Na sequência dessa explosão de reconhecimento midiático nacional e internacional, durante um período de tempo um tanto breve, a banda continuou o seu trabalho. Contudo, em meados de 2010, enfrentou um momento de desgaste que culminou em seu fim. Felizmente, nem tudo estava perdido, pois não muito tempo depois do final desse ciclo, uma nova história começou a ser escrita. Em novembro de 2011, Bruno Moreira, João Paulo Balla e Ricardo Vieira deram início a um nosso projeto, o We Are Pirates, cuja sonoridade seguiu linhas diferentes do trabalho anterior.
