Miki N'Doye came from Gambia in Western Africa to Norway in 1976. He was the first to incorporate music from his Wolof roots, Jolla and Mandingo rhythms, with jazz in Norway, founding the bands E'olen, Sabba and Tamma. He has been a «primus motor» for World music in Norway for allmost 30 years. He has toured extensively throughout Scandinavia since, collaborating with among others: Don Cherry, Ed Blackwell, Jon Balke, Erik Balke, Kari Bremnes, Bugge Wesseltoft. Miki has performed and recorded in many different musical styles, but is now in addition to playing hand percussion, has also added the Kalimba to his repertoir. He uses the Kalimba as a lead instrument along with a tenor-Kalimba (bongo) and keyboards and drums. Read more on Last.fm.
