Mojo Rising

There are several bands with the same or similar name (see links in the sources): 1) A native of Southern California, originally from Chicago, Mojo Rising has been obsessed with music from a young age. As a youth, this was first expressed on wind instruments in symphonic and jazz bands. The compulsion to create music was first seeded when introduced to MIDI, synthesis and sampling in high school. And then Mojo discovered the rave scene in the early 90s and began performing as a DJ in the robust electronic music scene of Los Angeles, with a number of notable residencies under his belt including F.A.M.I.L.Y. and Insomniac Productions. As a consumer, performer, DJ and producer, Mojo prides himself on a diverse and eclectic taste in music and enjoys mixing and producing a wide array of styles from downtempo to house to drum & bass. You can catch Mojo Rising releases from labels Cold Busted and Journees Music. -- 2) A Wedding & Function Band from Scotland. -- 3) Mojo Risin' Blues Band plays a blend of traditional blues with some contemporary R&B, funk, and jazz fusion. They are based in Florence Al. -- 4) MojoRising 2005-2010 formerly from Los Angeles, CA, currently Melbourne, Australia with a Myspace profile showing four songs. -- 5) The Mojo Rising is a cover band based in London who specialize in funk and soul throughout the decades with modern classics included. -- 6) A Doors tribute band from Raleigh, NC. -- 7) Mojo Risin was another Doors tribute band from Cleveland, OH which existed till 2010.
