NAGISA COSMETIC is a one-shot two-person musical unit, represented by Ichikawa Nagisa (市川渚, born July 26, 1984), a Japanese street fashion model and designer, and her friend, famed Japanese electronica producer Nakata Yasutaka. Formed in Tokyo, Japan, the unit was created when Nakata discovered Ichikawa in a fashion magazine, and contacted her through her editor. Drawing influences from lounge, bossa nova, and shibuya-kei, they released their self-titled album in 2004. Due to Ichikawa's studies at a fashion college, however, the group was unofficially disbanded shortly after, and Nagisa now works as a fashion PR assistant. Read more on Last.fm.
