Aaaaaah Neville, Neville, Neville. Believe me when I say thats the best name they could come up with. Neville are sadly no more. All the band members are now grown up with respectable jobs and girlfriends or wives and mortgages... Well most of them anyway. So, Neville. Started as a three piece, Scott (Guitar), Gemma (Gutair) and Giz (Drums) at the ripe old age of about 13/14. Playing Metallica and Guns n' Roses covers in Gemmas attic. But non of them were able or willing to sing. So, vocals came in the form of Gemmas sisters ex boyfriend, Gav. This lanky git just wouldn't take no for an answer so in a sweaty attic every Sunday afternoon the 'band' would toil away practicing and hoping for that first gig. That gig happened sometime in spring of 1994. A Nirvana tribute night in the back room of a dodgy pub called the squirrel in Dinnington (which is near Rotherham (which is near Sheffield)). They convinced Gemmas sisters current boyfriend to play the bass at the gig and he liked it so much he stayed! From that day forward (til about 1999) Neville played numerous gigs around south yorkshire for crates of beer, small sums of cash but mostly just for the hell of it! They recorded two demos and did nothing with them cos they were lazy f*cks.... Read more on Last.fm.
