Niki Evans (born 13 December 1972) is an English singer. She was a finalist on the fourth series of UK talent show, The X Factor. Evans finished fourth overall and was the last female standing. Niki was signed to Libido Records at age 16, an off-shoot of Pete Waterman's PWL label. A single with Ball Parc Playerz was released but did not achieve chart success. Niki was selected for the live show as one of the three “25 and over” contestants mentored by Louis Walsh. The others in this category were Beverly Trotman and Daniel BeBourg. Her performance of “Nothing Compares to You” in the first week of the live show brought a standing ovation from the audience and universal acclaim from the four judges. Sharon Osbourne told Niki that she was “in a class of her own”. Each week Niki took on new challenges, both singing and performing and was never placed in the bottom two – until she was eliminated at the semi-final stage. Since the X Factor television programme, and the subsequent X Factor arena tour, Niki Evans has sung with John Barrowman at the Symphony Hall, Birmingham and alongside Kim Wilde and Heather Small in Dubai She appeared as a special guest of Jasper Carrott on his Christmas Rock With Laughter show at the NEC Her appearances on TV include LK Today and ITV’s This Morning with Phillip Schofield and Fern Britton. Her solo single "Love Me No More" was released by London-based Rollover Records on 15th September 2008, but due to lack of promotion and via download-only, the track narrowly missed out on the top 100. In December 2009, Niki released an album of covers entitled "By Request" which included most of the songs she sung on the X-Factor. She is currently playing the iconic role of Mrs Johnstone in the Coventry production of Blood Brothers, showing at the Belgrade Theatre. Read more on Last.fm.
