Shaun Bateman aka Nolige. Hailing from Wolverhampton has been listening to Drum & Bass/Jungle since 1991. It was from going round his cousins every Sunday, where he first heard Drum & Bass. From there on he knew he wanted to be a part of it one day. After some years of listening to tape packs, he then decided in 1998 to take things a little more serious, and started buying vinyl. Shortly after, he then decided to buy a pair of decks. After learning how to mix and gaining more confidence, in 2003 he had his first DJ gig at a local club in his home town, and then had his very own show on local pirate radio station 'District Fm', which he held for 3 years. It was around 2001 where he began to get on the production side of things and try to learn as much as he could. It wasn't until 2005 when he had his first break with a couple of tunes, 'Innersense' on Bassbin Recordings, and his first Collaboration with long time friend Skitty, with 'Babylon Dub' on Architecture. Since then, he has been on various other labels and continues to push his sound and release more music on Scientific Wax, Cylon Music, Backlash Recordings, 13 Music, and his and Skitty's label, which will be coming soon in 2008, so keep your ears to the ground!
