At least two artists are using Oryon pseudonym. First is electronic dance music producer from Amsterdam Peter Smit, and second artist is US pop star Chris Taylor. 1. Peter Smit is also known for releases under Monogato, Marninx and Ecco aliases, a lot of his tracks were signed to famous Armada Music dance music label. 2."I’ll find a way." Those are the words that singer/songwriter Oryon lives by. "No matter how difficult things might get or how impossible they might seem, I always find a way to make it through. Undoubtedly it is this outlook that has carried Oryon into the arms of success. Even as a child growing up in Wisconsin, Oryon seemed destined for a life of great achievements. A professional model at the age of 12, Oryon appeared in numerous fashion shows, print ads and commercials. By age 15, he was not only starring in, but wrote and co-produced a national public service announcement for Teens Against Drugs, an organization he founded after his cousin was killed by a drunk driver. "I had to do something, I wanted to make a difference." Oryon definitely did make a difference In less then two years the organization had a national membership that included the support of several well known celebrities. The commercial was seen by producer Daniel Peterson, who was so impressed, he cast Oryon in his new film "Life’s Too Short." That same year Oryon would travel to Minneapolis to meet with record producer Don Powell. It was this meeting that would spark the beginning of a new chapter in Oryon’s life as a singer. A few years would pass and while attending college for business, Oryon continued working on his music. At 18, Oryon decided to take on another venture, opening his own modeling agency. When he wasn’t busy running the agency, he was performing with his group Another Step at skating rinks, malls, even at fashion shows set up through his company. It was after seeing one of these performances, a talent coordinator for The Cancer And Heart Research Telethon immediately asked Oryon to perform on the next show. Feeling unfulfilled, Oryon eventually found himself back in Minneapolis. This time he would move there, relocating his business and hoping to pursue his musical career on a more professional level. It was there Oryon would meet new producers who would help guide him toward the future as well as encourage him to make the biggest decision of his life. Close the agency and move to California where he could devote more of himself to his music and career. "It was a difficult decision on my part because the agency was doing so well. How do you give up something you worked so hard for? I had spent so many years helping other people, I finally decided it was time to help myself." Oryon, who is now in his twenties, decided to take their advice and move to Southern California. In less then three months time, Oryon has already managed to land a part in the film "Against Their Will" completed work on his first two dance singles, "Gimme Love" and "Bump and Grind." Oryon wrote the lyrics for both songs and with his amazing sultry voice and the infectious grooves, the combination are sure to set the dance floors and hearts alike on fire. Most recently Oryon’s new single, "Good To Be Bad" was receiving heavy airplay in the Midwest and he had just completed a concert with Elektra artist "Vitamin C." There is no questioning that this is only the beginning of a very promising and long awaited career. His website is located at www.oryon.com for more info. Read more on Last.fm.
