Pale Sunday is a Brazilian indie pop band. They're from Jardinopólis (15 km far from Ribeirão Preto, São Paulo). The band was originally formed by Luiz Gustavo (bass, vocals), Sineval Almeida (guitar) and Fabrício Cantoni (guitar, producer). They have two releases on Matinée Records, an EP from april 2003 called "A Weekend With Jane" (matinée049) and a full album from april 2005 called "Summertime" (matcd037). Pale Sunday also have songs on two Matinée compilations, "Matinée 50!" (matinée50) and they also play a cover of The Smiths on the album "Romantic and Square is Hippy and Aware" (matcd030). On february 2007 the band announced they were disbanding and even played a last show, at Penelope Club (Ribeirão Preto, SP). At april 2007 they announced a new line-up, with the additions of Tiago Fuzz (guitars) and Gustavo Az (Drums). With this new line-up, for the first time in it's history, the band have made several gigs on later 2007 and early 2008. Nowdays they are composing the songs for the long awaited new EP.
