In the wake of the huge success of Mumford & Sons and their ilk, a band like Parlours could become massive. This may well cause a Marmite reaction amongst listeners, but the doubters should give them a go, because they really are rather good. A five piece from Des Moines, they play poppy folk with great harmonies from vocalists Scott Yoshimura and Dana Halferty (who writes all the songs), catchy melodies and a warm yet jaunty acoustic sound.
