There are multiple artists named Passiflora: 1) Passiflora is a Turkish jazz band, founded on 2002, lead by Levent Altındağ and Erdem Sökmen with other musicians Eylem Pelit, Volkan Öktem, Serkan Özyılmaz. It became stronger with Şenova Ülker, who joined at 2007. The band has a wide range of genres including Latin Jazz and fusion. In addition to their own creations the band also covers other artists' and composers' work including John Patitucci, Joe Bosco, Garry Willis, Steve Khan, Julio Baretto, Paco de Lucia, Russell Ferrante (Yellow Jackets), Tania Maria, Ralph Towner (Oregon) and J.C.Maillard. 2) Passiflora is a new wave / post-punk band from Cecina, Livorno, Italy. The project starts in the first half of the 1980s under the action of the Borghesi brothers. First formation: Marco Borghesi (guitar), Gabriele Santini (keyboards), Sergio Vinci (drums), Riccardo Borghesi (bass), Edoardo Marraffa (Sax) and Cristina Pantaleone (vocalist). They starts to play in different contests with a good success. In 1988 Bianca Rossi replaces Cristina Pantaleone like vocalist of the group. The band follows an experimental itinerary, between classical post-punk sounds and a sort of melancholic dark jazz. Read more on Last.fm.
