"My name is Patrice Deceuninck. I am a musician in Lille, in the north of France, and I currently work at a music school where I teach bass guitar and computer-assisted music. I have always wanted to work for the cinema, which is my second great passion after music. I read "The Lord Of the Rings" for the first time at the age of 14 and, like many readers I was immediately enchanted. What I appreciate in Tolkien is all his poetry and his taste for adventure and all that is marvelous. Reading Tolkien is like breathing a great breath of fresh air. This is why I decided to put "The Lord Of The Rings" to music, in order to declare, in my way, my passion for this ingenious writer. The first themes were composed just to see whether I was able to translate into music the writings of Tolkien. Now, what was at the beginning only a "practice" has turned into a more ambitious project. Following the many encouragements I have received, I decided to step beyond the "machines" and to find a true symphonic orchestra to interpret my compositions. So... I hope you have enjoyed your journey with as much pleasure as I did when I conceived it. I am of course at your disposal for any further information and hope to see you back soon in the house of Elrond or in Lothlórien... Cordially, Patrice" Read more on Last.fm.
