Philip Quast (born 30 July 1957) is an acclaimed Australian actor and singer. Originally from Tamworth, New South Wales, he's had a long and well-esteemed career on stage, winning the Olivier Award three times. He's best known for his role as Inspector Javert in the musical 'Les Miserables', famously serving in the iconic 1995 program 'Les Misérables: The Dream Cast in Concert'. Other roles that he has played include Juan Peron in 'Evita' and Pozzo in 'Waiting for Godot'. Quast's singing, particularly the emotive track "Stars", has received international acclaim. He has appeared in the cast recordings for several musicals over the years, but he has also released his own album titled 'Live at the Donmar', a work containing both covers and original material.
