Postblue are an Australian alternative rock band originally from Byron Bay, New South Wales but now based in Melbourne. The band's current line-up consists of vocalist/guitarist Riley McEvoy, drummer Joe Paine and bassist Jordan Saul. The band formed in January of 2012, and originally had intent to play hardcore punk. They changed their style to a more melodic take on post-hardcore; before settling on a blend of grunge and alternative rock. Originally, the band consisted of McEvoy, Paine, Saul and lead guitarist Alex Langridge. A demo was released in May of 2012, with Saul leaving the band shortly afterward. He was replaced by Liam Criz. An EP, Leap Year, was released in December 2012 via Rest Assured Records. The band toured extensively in 2013, playing with bands such as Bane, Title Fight, The Smith Street Band and Violent Soho. Langridge left the band in mid-2013 and was not replaced, reverting the band to a trio. Following their appearance at the Poison City Weekender, Criz left the band. He was replaced by a returning Jordan Saul, which brought the band back to their original line-up prior to Langridge joining. The band's debut album, I Hope They're Praying For Me, was released via Poison City Records in March 2014. In September 2015, it was announced that former Hopeless vocalist Brett Sutton would be joining the band on second guitar. The band released a new single, Glow Like Crazy, a fortnight later. Sutton left in early 2016. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
