Purification

(1) Purification 1996 - 2005 Absolute metal destruction from Europe's longest running Straight Edge Hardcore Metal band. For 10 years Purification have been the flag bearers of sociopolitical metal-core across the European continent, and are now preparing to unleash their fury stateside with the bands first international release Banging the Drums of War on Uprising. Formed in Rome, during the summer of 1996 Purification were one of the first bands to bring the influence of Earth Crisis and the American Straight Edge explosion of the mid 80's into the European scene. Creating frenzied havoc and total mayhem at their live shows across the European continent, the band has been a long time favorite in the European scene - releasing an EP, Split MCD and CD to much attention overseas. Now after 7 years, Maurizio, Monster, Kappa, and Emiliano are preparing to storm the American hardcore scene with their merciless rhythmic attack, and militant vocal onslaught. Their debut album for Uprising Records Banging the Drums of War, featuring guest appearances by Karl Buechner (Earth Crisis /Freya) and Sean (Vegan Reich), will appeal to both old and new school hardcore, metal and straight edge fans alike. Look for the band on tour in Europe starting in August, the USA and Canada in Spring, and Japan and South America sometime in 2004. (2) Purification from Germany is a death metal band.
