Rocky Fretz is a new age, new acoustic, new jazz pianist, performer, composer and recording artist. Rocky's last CD, "THE PATH AHEAD...and steps then taken" was produced by the Grammy Award winning founder of Windham Hill Records, Will Ackerman. The Path also includes the work of some of the most sought after, award winning instrumentalist in the world including, Will Ackerman, David Cullen, Eugene Friesen, Patrick O'Leary, Dan Greenspan, T-Bone Wolk (RIP), Steve Schuck, Jeff Oster, Michael Manring, Derrik Jordan and the ambient vocals of Noah Wilding. The Path Ahead...and steps then taken. has recently won this year's Independent Music Award for Best new Age Album !! Rocky has performed more than 5,000 times. More than 4,000 of those as the feature pianist and vocal director for The Carolina Opry ...a very successful family, music variety show and 1,000 or so times as a solo pianist or with any number of ensemble combination.
