Introducing Sadie Ama. Born Mersadie Louise Hall on 19th August 1987. This future superstar grew up in Kilburn, London NW6. Having been brought up in a household in which music was the greatest passion, (her mother Sonia was a jazz singer in a group called the Clamber and her older sister is none other than one of the finest vocalists of her generation, platinum selling Shola Ama) it was inevitable that Sadie would catch the music bug. So, here you have it. The sweet sounds of Sadie Ama. There is no mistaking this lady's beautifully soft and distinctive vocal once it graces your ears. It has already blessed the airwaves in the form of some now legendary underground hits which have all attained cult status on the UK underground scene. It was the first of these records (So Sure, Sadie's first EVER visit to a studio) that introduced the world to Sadie, and a soon to be star Mobo award winning Kano. This record caused a huge industry stir and catapulted Sadie, without choice, into the limelight. After a whirlwind few months of MD and A&R meetings, radio interviews, magazine articles and photo shoots, Sadie decided to hold back, build on her style & sound and wait until the time was right for her to enter into a career in music. A couple of underground smashes later, she's ready. The press have been super quick in spotting the potential of this future superstar. Not only has she been featured in virtually every urban publication around, (Touch, New Nation, RWD, Blues & Soul amongst others) she has also graced the pages of style magazines i-D, Trace and Dummy as well as stacking up column inches in National newspapers such as the Daily Mirror. So now the foundations have been set, Sadie is ready to be the superstar she has always shown the potential to be. Having already been touted by MTV as an artist "About to Blow", please make way for Sadie in 2007. As we speak she is in the studio, building on her signature sound and preparing her assault on the mainstream. http://www.myspace.com/sadieama Read more on Last.fm.
