Satellite High is an indie hip-hop artist hailing from San Jose, CA by way of Central Florida.  After years of flirting with municipal rock pseudo-stardom, he abandoned his dreams of rock and roll glory and returned to his first love, hip-hop music.  Satellite defies expectations both musically - using his eclectic taste to find samples from bands as diverse as Skeleton Key or Morphine - and lyrically, with strong rhymes that manage to avoid the common preachy tropes of most underground hip-hop. Satellite combines his politically-charged punk rock ethos with dense lyricism, creating a fresh perspective for hip-hop that expands its boundaries without alienating it from its roots.
