Hip Hop / Rap From, Sénégal Africa. Senegalese Hiphop crew consisting of Bourba Djoloff and his brother Books from Dakar. Sen Kumpë began with the meeting of two rappers (Bourba Djoloff and Baay Sén), and producer (Ama Diop) from Dakar's neighborhood "Médina" releasing their first album in 1996. Modou (1976-2010) aka Bourba Jollof of Sen Kumpe. Bourba was at the heart of Nomadic Wax’s creation 10 years ago in Dakar. Founding member of the legendary underground Senegalese hip hop group Sen Kumpe, Bourba lived and ultimately died for hip-hop (check the tribute track Senegalese rappers did for him. That’s Bourba’s brother Books at minute 1:36). Now comprises Bourba Djoloff and his brother Books, Sen Kumpe originally was the meeting of two rappers (Bourba Djoloff and Sen. Baay) and a musical designer (Ama Diop). All from the populous district of the Medina, they marked their debut in 1996 when the entire Senegalese rap their mind and protest texts deeply rooted in a social context because of poverty, lack of education, unemployment and others. In less than three years, in fact, they could attract the attention of the public and professionals to participate in music developed in 1999 to "D-Kill Rap" compilation of the most controversial in the history of Senegalese rap because its socio-political commitment and the fact that after the first hardcore rap album Rapadio (produced by the same label-Fitna Productions) came to settle permanently in Senegal. Thanks to its title Nii The REK (This is how it happens), Sen became Kumpe place in a movement that it became increasingly difficult to break and thus made part of the opinion of the majority fans of hip-hop, good seed underground Senegalese to be reckoned with. In 2000 the band made its second appearance discography, always on a compilation, "Politichien" during the presidential elections of the same year. Deuk with Lu Bi LAAC (The People's request) the group puts his foot in it and is firmly committed to speak for a people who had been kneeling by forty years of management of a scheme which seemed to year years unable to meet the new needs of the population. After two outputs are highly esteemed, Sen Kumpe was getting ready to attack a public almost conquered. But unfortunately interfered with the separation of the successive departures Baay Sen. Diop and Ama in 2003. However, the grief was not of long duration with the arrival of Books, a young rapper who was unanimously described as one of the innovators of his generation.
