Douglas Arley, a.k.a. "SgtRama," "Ramaniscence," or just plain "Rama," is a resident of Cooper City, Florida. Sometime in 2000, while mass-downloading video game music via Napster, he came across one of djpretzel's oldschool remixes, and after downloading and burning a number of songs with "OCReMix" in the title, a friend finally pointed him to the OverClocked ReMix, which would be his primary outlet for musical expression. With FLStudio as his primary sequencing tool, his musical styles usually consist of hip-hop & electronica elements. Musical influences include Atmosphere, Lil Jon, AK1200, Nobuo Uematsu, Jeremy Soule, tefnek, & Linkin Park, to name a few. After having his first & only OCReMix posted in mid-2002 (and later mentioned in the June 2002 Issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly, #156) Rama has had little luck getting another song past the site's panel of judges. He now focuses on other way of contributing to the community. Most notably by opening ThaSauce.net (http://www.thasauce.net), news portal for the game music arrangement community, in May of 2005, & later opening ReMix:ThaSauce (http://remix.thasauce.net/), game music arrangement site branch of ThaSauce, in March of 2006.
