There are 4 bands with the name Smoke Signals: 1. Smoke Signals is Metal band from Little Rock, AR. Blending a wide range of influences to create a refreshing vision in a genre becoming known for it's cliches, Smoke Signals seeks to bring something to the table that is heavy, technical, raw, visceral, emotionally charged, and above all else...REAL. 2. Smoke Signals… combine the splintering attack of Midwestern hardcore and the delicate compositions of progressive rock and post punk. Unveiling the parts of a larger story by each release, the concept of Smoke Signals… is as much portrayed in the lyrics as it is in the moods and themes of the noises they use to create deconstructed atmospheres. Wasting no time to perfect their live performances, the band began touring even before self-releasing their debut EP, The Collapse on And Recordings (Spring 2013). The Collapse EP has since been re-issued by Phratry Records (2015) and a new split release with Knife the Symphony is set for Fall 2015. 3. Smoke Signals was formed October of 2010 in Panama City, Florida by Joel Switzer. Taking influence from a artists such as Townes Van Zandt, Sonic Youth, Boris, Wu-Tang Clan, Miles Davis, and MDC, Smoke Signals sounds sort of like the Ramones trying to play King Crimson. 4. Smoke Signals are a hardcore band from Newfoundland, Canada. 5. Smoke Signals is Coley O’Toole, Joe Ballaro and Zac Clark. Coley O’Toole and Joe Ballaro started their first band in the 7th grade in Shelton, Connecticut. Zac Clark was added to the mix over a decade later. The three toured as The Queen Killing Kings before recording a self-titled LP in early 2011 as Smoke Signals. Read more on Last.fm.
