Somnambulist Quintet showcases music created by British musician Darren Johnson. Crafted and carefully constructed entirely digitally, these electronic jazz pieces emulate a dark, tense and organic tone whilst finding themselves injected with a modern electronic influence throughout. The sax, brass and percussion section is entirely programmed to mimic and help reproduce a strikingly authentic sounding jazz quintet. Each track is mapped out and built to progress through a natural course of growth and musical exploration. This means there are many pleasantly surprising twists and turns to be found within.
