Soultourist

The Soultourist boat is crewed by Philippe Wüger (Thabo), Tobi Toster, Ron Shiller, and Pascal Dubach (Big Clap) – however, the rowing is done in shifts. The four met while DJ'ing and hanging out at parties realising that their cases were packed with nearly the same records and that they shared a common musical vision. The idea came to mind to combine the musical skills of each one of them and to form Soultourist. All that ends up into a edgy Downtempo Deep House sound, blended with influences of Hip Hop, oldschool dance tracks and Techno. Soultourist’s first 12” was released on the renowned Berlin based label Sonar Kollektiv and received a bunch of positive reactions. after their remix of Schwamm’s “Crazy Beaches” for the Swiss Electro label Bitboutique, Soultourist contributed a track called “Yeah!” to the Dachkantine compilation, which has also been released on the newly founded Zürich based Drumpoet label. Recently their follow-up “Turn Loose” came out and caught the attention of influential House and Techno DJ’s like Âme, Dixon and Chateau Flight.
