Spelling Bee is a two-piece self-proclaimed post-punk band from St. Louis, Missouri, made up of Mabel Suen's voice, guitar and saxophone, as well as Joe Hess' voice and drums. Hypnotic, syncopated and even "mathy" punk riffs that often dissipate into noisy and distorted shambles, desperate (and occasionally dual) vocals, wild dynamic drumming and surprise saxophone make up their debut album Sweet Dreams, Strange Animal.
