The Splatterheads were an Australian hard rock band in the 1990s. Part of a movement that mainly coalesced around Melbourne's Dog Meat Records, other bands included Hoss, Bored!, The Powder Monkeys, Freeloaders, Asteroid B-612 and others. Borrowing from 70s psychedelic and hard rock acts such as Hawkwind, The Stooges and Sonic's Rendevous Band, the Splatterheads were notable for having two lead singers trading off against each other. The band started out as the Lompoc County Splatterheads. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
