Feet are moving to the music - an electro-ecstatic moment. Colourful Uhs and Ahs are celebrating a feast with dancing harmonies and beats when Stefany June starts cooking her home grown and handmade Pop. One part singer/songwriter and one part an artist who cannot submit to the today's tired definition of the genre singer/songwriter – Stefany creates cheery pop music with an electronic bricolage. Songs that always draw something positive from the melancholy are guaranteed to banish any monotony from the mind. Her voice reminds of the young Kate Bush. At the University of Arts in Enschede, NL (known by popular acts like Miss Montreal (NL), Luxuslärm (D)) Stefany met her band and her producer Julian Enequist. Together they are an international combo of Swedish, Indonesian, Dutch and Germans. The common denominator is danceable music with a Scandinavian touch. Main influences are bands and artists like The Asteroids Galaxy Tour and Feist. Since April 2010 Stefany June are playing all over Germany and the Netherlands and did already about 70 shows in their first year. It also took one year until they released their first song ‘Summer’ under their own Label ‘Galaxy Cat Records’. The song is home recorded, mixed by the Dutch Mixer Guido Aalbers and already on air in the Netherlands. Read more on Last.fm.
