Sunburnt Octopus

Panagiotis Spanos grew up in Greece, in the busy grey city of Athens. He enjoyed music from a young age and was that kid with headphones permanently implanted on his ears. His love with electronica blossomed when he exposed himself to the mystical, spiritual and culturally important phenomenon which was and is, Goa Trance. Diving deep into the goa and psychedelic sounds, he sought later to extend his embrace around electronic music and found a new love and passion in creating his own sound. Experimentation first began in the year 2001 and since then he has tried to bring out his musical self little by little. Since his initial exposure online in 2005, Sunburnt Octopus has generated a buzz throughout the underground. His tracks have been lovingly played on various decks and have been supported by many DJs worldwide including Roger Liland, Sotto, Cadatta, Johan Nilsson, LRCN and DJ Irish, and have been promoted on various radio shows such Heineken (Brazil), ETN.FM, DI.FM, IS Radio & Techno.FM, Live365 and others. His musical monologues have garnered him an interview and various awards of recognition on sites such as Dance-Industries and Beatmaka.com.
