Swimming Elephants is a musical workshop where old friends, all non-musicians with no musical background at all, like to spend weekends together to play-around with music in the traditional definition of it- just like what the rest of the 10 billion people in the world are doing at the moment. What drives them to play music is just the simple basic need to play and create, like the need to sleep or to eat. Their main principal is to be honest with their music; if in the process of creating a song they find that they sound just like some band that they just listened to intensely, that means that they have failed, and if failure is nonsensical, then something in the process have gone out of the track. For them, music is also not something that they like to wear; they prefer shirts for that. Image is definitely not the reason why they are on this shit together. With hardly any skill and experience at all in music, Swimming Elephants never try to sound more than what they are; just friends being stuck in a small room filled with musical instruments, trying to make do with anything that is available; their passion in music, and their sincere, punchdrunk love for sound. .. Mainly we are: Wisnu Andita (drums, percussions, backing vocal), Rizki Yogaswara (vocal, guitar, keyboard), Gilar Di Aria (keyboard, guitar, percussions). .. Friends who like to play with us: Saras Juwono (vocal, keyboard, recorder) Aprilia DH (glockenspiel, percussions) Read more on Last.fm.
