Since 2004 Ooberman writer/singer/producer Dan Popplewell has been writing orchestral music for film, TV and animations. The Symphonika project collects his best work into themed instrumental albums, beginning with 'The Snow Queen' - a shivery, wintery album released on December 4th 2006. All tracks feature strings from the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, and many also feature the hypnotic voices of Ooberman's lead singer Sophia Churney, and Liverpool opera singer Sarah Helsby Hughes, albeit in the form of abstract oohs and ahs.
