Tommy de Chirico, musician and singer from Turin (Italy), is well known today as one of the best rockers of the old italian underground wave movement. In 1984, Tommy, yet vocalist of the goth band Politburo, with his real name has produced a great 7 inches record with 2 tracks ('Close Your Eyes' the title - Shirak Records) in collaboration with Mauro Tavella, yet member of the electro band Monuments (other great ensemble from Turin). The inspired voice of Tommy (at the guitar and bass too) and the electro compositions of Tavella are the perfect ingredients of this cult work, today one of the best examples of minimal/cold wave style from the italian 80s. Recently, the 2 tracks have been enclosed in 2 very important compilations: in 2009 ‘Flowers In The Factory’ into ‘Danza Meccanica vol. 1' (Mannequin Records - In The Night Time) and in 2012 ‘Close Your Eyes’ into ‘Torino Radio Elettra 1981-1985’ (Vinile Italiano records). In 2013 the last productive step thanks to the 12 inches collection with 2 new songs and a different version of 'Close Your Eyes' (Mannequin Records). Discography: 1984 - “Close Your Eyes’' (7'' Shirak Records, TKS Studio - Torino) 2009 - “Danza Meccanica'’ (Mannequin Records compilation, song enclosed: ‘Flowers In The Factory’) 2012 - “Torino Radio Elettra 1981-1985” (Vinile Italiano - limited edition compilation - song enclosed: ‘Close Your Eyes’) 2013 - ''Close Your Eyes' (12'' Mannequin Records) Read more on Last.fm.
