Tantrix is Toby Pearce (UK) & Antonio Catalano (IT). Toby was originally a metal head and has played in various rock/metal/thrash bands but was turned onto electronic music in the early 90's and started frequenting trance parties in London, such as Megatripolis and Otherworld. Antonio arrived in Brighton (UK) in 2000 from a punk-rock background and techno orientation, he was instantly seduced by the psy scene and it was at several Brighton psy parties that the two met. It wasn't long before the pair got some pioneers and started playing at a few small parties. With two other psytalians, Gino (Ginetik) and Alessandro (Mentalex) the team put on a few outdoor parties; this was the origin of Freak Bazaar (www.freakbazaar.net). They moved onto production in 2007 releasing their first track 'Extraordinary World' in June 2009 on La Magica Boutique records. In early 2010 they signed to Blue Hour Sounds Records and released 2 more tracks through their new label that year and began to play their live set at parties and festivals in Europe. In 2011 they released another track through their label and then their debut 3 Track EP in June 2011. Two more tracks in 2012, 'Subsurface' on Hadra and a collaboration with Spanish duo Hypnoise called 'Hypnotrix'. In Summer 2012 they will be showcasing new material at parties and festivals across Europe, with gigs confirmed in Italy, France, Germany, Spain and the UK.
